Coordinating Gift Card & Bag Set-Part 1

Happy Daisy Card

Have you ever wanted just the right gift card and coordinating bag for that little something you'd love to give?  Well, why not make your own!

Your time and care in creating these are heartfelt gifts as well!

Once I had my idea, my 5 gift bags and cards came together in no time at all!  You, too, can make these!  Today's post will be a card tutorial.  Later in the week, we'll review how the coordinating bags were decorated.  Let's get started!

I used 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 White Daisy cards with envelopes for card bases.  White Daisy and Sea Glass Cardstock were used for the flowers. My Flower Market Cricut cartridge made cutting the layers of the Daisy (page 46) super easy!

For our card, the flowers were cut with the feature key, <Daisy>Flower-1.
The Daisy petals on the card are made with Sea Glass cardstock.  I cut the base layer at 2 1/2" as well as the linked White Daisy cardstock center.  The additional layer of petals was cut at 1 1/2" of the same <Daisy>Flower-1 key. Super easy!  A little bit of Clear Shimmer brushed over the petals adds a touch of sparkle, and Liquid Glass on the center adds shine.  So pretty!

Papers in the Rustic Home Collection are wonderfully complementary with the Sea Glass Color of the Year.  Use of the Linen Weave and Swiss Dot papers allow your eye to rest.  I love the versatility of this collection and have always been a fan of multi-functioning items! What about you?

For the card, I cut the Linen pattern paper to 3 1/2 x 4 1/4" and the Swiss Dot paper 1 x 3 1/2".  I adhered these pieces as shown on the card using a tape runner.  Foam tape was used to assemble the Sea Glass Daisy to give it dimension.

This card was fun to design and make.  It can be given with a simple stamped sentiment and/or a quick hand written note for a multitude of occasions.  Hand crafted cards are such a lovely way to show you care and provide a welcome paper hug.

Until next time --

Thank you so much for visiting!

I enjoy hearing from you!  Have a wonderful day!

"SPRINKLED WITH LOVE"
2-PAGE "SUGAR RUSH" LAYOUT

Welcome!  Here's another two-page layout I made with the fun Creative Collection "Sugar Rush" papers, and coordinating embellishments.  These papers, especially the "Sprinkles" paper, elicits thoughts of yummy sweets!

I kept this layout very streamlined.  This will allow my family photos to shine. Additional photos will easily be added with flip flaps. How fun to have a peek under a photo!

Flip flaps come in 7 sizes, are so easy to use, and are awesome!  I love how you can use them to add additional photos, and tuck little mementos or notes in with your memories.  Great for telling your story!

These two banners were cut from the Sprinkles pattern paper included in the Sugar Rush paper pack and coordinating Whisper cardstock.  They were adhered with foam tape to give them some lift.  A strip of pretty Sea Glass with Hearts Sugar Rush Washi Tape runs atop the flags.

The "Sprinkled With Love" title is from the Sugar Rush Complements package.  The complements include a delightful collection of stickers and chipboard die-cuts.  I love the touch of gold foil accents!  Adhesive backed glitter dots add an additional sparkly touch.

As with all of the beautiful Seasonal Expressions' Creative Collections, Close to My Heart provides you with the option of purchasing a "Workshop Your Way", or the items a la carte.  When purchasing any WYW from my website, you are able to download easy to follow instructions to guide you as you create your layouts.
