Easter "Shaker" Card

Welcome! I made this sweet "Hoppy Easter" shaker card with the absolutely adorable "Easter Animals" (C1706) stamp set.

The base layer of my Easter egg is cut with Bashful cardstock.  The lighter side is shown for my base.  Remember, other than White Daisy and Black, all of the Close to My Heart cardstock now two toned, one side being a shade lighter than the other.  😊

I cut an additional egg shape from a page protector, to make a window for our shaker.  Paper from the Gimme Some Sugar Creative Collection was then cut for the decorative front of the egg.

Using two layers of foam tape on my base I built an opening area for my Gold Glitter Paper hearts to freely move about between the base and protector/decorative layers.

Liquid Glass was used to adhere the top decorative layer to the clear protector.

I love the combination of the Willow, Toffee and Pixie inks with these papers. So appropriate for spring and Easter paper crafts!

Of course a few strokes with the Clear Shimmer Brush and some Bitty Sparkles give this Easter card an additional touch of bling.

Before signing off, a quick reminder, throughout February, Close to My Heart is Pretty in Pink with discounts of 25% and 30% on selected items and bundles.

Also, just announced is this super fun Step Right Up Bundle including the new exclusive stamp set, Showtime.   Whether it's a birthday party, theme park, or just a day of fun, you can share and preserve those moments with this special and the exclusive Showtime Stamp Set.  This is available through March 31, 2018 or while supplies last.

Where Are YOUR Photos?

Who Tells Your Story?

Welcome!  Reminiscing of days gone by and thinking of future dreams while paging through memory albums is a wonderful way to connect with loved ones.  The gift of life is an ongoing journey, with limited time. So the BIG question here is -- Where are YOUR photos?

It is incredibly easy to take so many photos with our phones and digital cameras, it can easily lead to photo overload!  We take photos of loved ones, places, occasions, and things because they mean something to us.

These photos should be enjoyed!  Let's take a little time each week to cull through the photos sitting in our digital devices, envelopes and boxes, and edit, crop, or oh my, delete some!  When completed regularly, it only takes a few minutes. Then, once you have your precious memories printed, they are ready to be added to pages of life's album.  😊

The above layout showcases some of the wonderful people dear to me in many ways. They are part of my life's journey, not only as an Independent Consultant with Close to My Heart, but more importantly, as true friends.

I love offering workshops, clubs and gatherings.  It is such a joy to be among such wonderful people.  Many new friendships are forged, and long time friendships, strengthen.  It is an awesome experience to encourage others to

celebrate relationships through discovering their creativity.  Through papercrafting we are able to preserve and share the moments that matter most with one another. 😊

The layouts included in today's post, include papers from the versatile Whimsy  and Basic Fundamentals Creative Collections along with Bashful and Basic Cardstock.  My die cuts are made using the You Are Here Cricut Collection.

I am happy to help you as you travel along life's journey with all of your papercrafting and memory keeping needs.  Visit me at PapercraftingWithGayle.ctmh.com today.

Look around, and see life as a springboard for your creative genius.  Let's get our photos in albums!

Throughout February, Close to My Heart is Pretty in Pink with discounts of 25% and 30% on selected items and bundles.
Woo Hoo!  It's a great time to stock up on pinks and gold!

Thank you so much for visiting!  You are appreciated!

Cute "Punny Pals" Valentine's Cards

Welcome!  Making these cute little Valentine cards certainly warms my heart on this cold winter day! I do hope they bring a smile to their recipients.  😊

I used the delightful "Punny Pals" Thin Cuts and Stamp Set (sold separately) to make these cute little 3 x 3 inch cards.  It was fun to mix and match different materials.  This little project comes together oh so quickly and easily.

I used Bashful Cardstock  (25% off during February!) for my heart backgrounds, and Gold Glitter Paper for small hearts and banners.  Both the Cardstock and Glitter Papers cut smoothly and easily.  Gold Glitter Gems and Twine also add a finishing touch.

Using the coordinating Punny Pals Thin Cuts is super easy.  I cut my animal shapes with my trusty Big Kick.  A Cuttlebug or any other similar die cutting machine would work.
After they were cut, using Archival Black Ink, I stamped my images and the corresponding punny sayings on White Cardstock.  It was fun to color these images and add a touch of sparkle with strokes from my Clear Shimmer Brush.

Basics used include a variety of adhesives, including Bonding Memories, Tombow, and 3-D Foam Tape, as well as my Non-Stick Micro Tip Scissors.

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, why not make some cute cards? They will warm your heart, and make your recipients smile.  💗

You will help someone smile when you purchase this Punny Pals stamp set, as $7 of each set sold is donated to Operation Smile, a non-profit organization that provides surgeries to repair cleft lips and palates for children around the world.  Get yours today at Papercraftingwithgayle.ctmh.com and smile!  😊

Enjoy!

Bloom & Grow Cards

Welcome!  Although I love looking out over my snow covered yard, and am thrilled we had a White Christmas, I am not a fan of icy, snow covered roads to get me to and fro of my destinations.  Nevertheless, it is pretty from my window!  So on this frosty day I had great fun with my January Stamp of the Month set, Bloom & Grow.

This is such a cheerful set!  The large stamp is designed to resemble a typical seed package.  The sentiments and little icons are delightful!  I'm using this set for a collection of thinking of you and Valentine cards.

Raspberry Cardstock was used to anchor my "seed packet" stamped with Archival Black on White Daisy Cardstock.   Raspberry Ink was used to stamp the sentiments on both of my cards shown. To add a subtle touch of sparkle, I used my Clear Shimmer Brush and a few Bitty SparklesMy Colored Pencils got into the act as well!

Papers from the Adventure Fundamental Collection are used in our Cherish the Good 'Thymes' card shown above.  For our Grow Your Own Magic card, paper from the Whimsy Fundamental Collection is used for our base.

Enjoy!

HELLO FRIENDS & WELCOME TO 2018!

It's National Papercrafting Month and I'm excited to get started by sharing this beautiful monogram letter.  I decided to make the "G" for display in my crafting room.  I love it -- the flowers, size, ease of creating and gorgeous rose gold.

It is built upon an incredibly sturdy chipboard base, just shy of 12 inches.  You could easily hang with a command strip, prop against the wall on the mantel, display in a frame as I have, backed with a sheet of Bashful cardstock.

I recommend using two types of adhesive to create this.  A tape runner adhesive to adhere the paper letter to the chipboard, and Liquid Glass to make the flowers and adhere them to your letter.

Each letter of the alphabet, as well as the &, is available separately.  Photo instructions are included in each easy to assemble kit.  I decided not to use all of the flowers included in my kit, and plan to use them in future crafting projects.  😊

I love how the art of papercrafting allows us to discover our creativity as it flows from home decor to card making and scrapbooking.

Enjoy!

Merry Christmas with Silver & Gold

With the Advent Season upon us, and Christmas approaching quickly, I love how this joyous season encompasses all of our wonderful senses!  Put on some Christmas music or tune into a Christmas show, and get your pages ready for your photos - or for gift giving!

I'm excited to show you my "Merry Christmas" layout made using the beautiful Silver & Gold Creative Collection.  It is available through December 31 or while supplies last.

Your layout will quickly come together using the cutting guide included with your purchase at papercraftingwithgayle.ctmh.com

I really love and appreciate the versatility of the Silver & Gold Creative Collection.  It is simply elegant with gorgeous gold foil accents and a black, pebble, pewter and white daisy palette.  Lovely!

Our Merry Christmas title is made of Silver Glitter chipboard die cuts included in the Silver & Gold Complements.

The Peace on Earth Picture My Life Card, included with this collection, gives you the perfect place to jot down layout details -- the who, what, when, and where.  You and yours will be so happy you took this little step.  For if you do not tell your story, who will?  Or worse, years from now, will you and/or yours know who these people are?

To add a finishing touch to this layout, I used a mix of the Complements, which includes coordinating stickers, silver and gold glitter die cuts, and two 1-inch self stick badge buttons, as well as the pretty Gold Shimmer Tape.
I love how the neutral colors of black and white absolutely come to life with the sprinkling of gold accents.  How festive!

Each of the components of the Workshop Your Way Kit are also available separately.

During December, the beautiful  Through the Year calendar workshop is available as a kit, while supplies last.  Detailed cutting instructions are included when you purchase this discounted kit from me at Papercraftingwithgayle.ctmh.com.  I look forward to showing you some of my monthly pages.
