Blessed Two-Page Layout

Welcome! I'm so glad you've stopped by! It is an incredibly blustery day today, with winds blowing in from the north, keeping our temps around 10 and the 'wind chill' below zero. So on this wintry snowy day, here's a layout I made, that, when photos are added, will warm the heart.

One of the fun things about my Blessed layout, is how it takes the dinosaur themed Something Fierce creative collection, into a totally different direction!

Wow! What versatility! Love it!

My layout uses the reverse side of the adorable dinosaur pattern -- to a very pretty Ballerina/White Daisy seersucker, pinstripe print. 😊

This is paired with the fun confetti/polka dot patterned paper. Delightful! I prepared double-layer mats for my photos using Ballerina and White Daisy cardstock, tied with a complementary twine.

Our flowers, vase and title are easily cut using the Artbooking, Flower Market, and You are Here Cricut collections. Our white-core Ballerina, Pewter and Sage Cardstock cuts like a dream!

Along with a touch of bling from the sparkly Glitter Gems, I added a couple of the Something Fierce Complements to finish up my layout. One is ready for the all important journaling. 😉

Loving the Magnolia Flowers!

Welcome! January is National Papercrafting Month, so I've stepped out of my card making and scrapbooking mode again to create my rendition of the Magnolia Frame Kit.

I love it -- the simply gorgeous magnolia flowers and leaves, size, ease of creating and versatility! Wow! It makes my heart happy! 💝

You, too, can create your own version using this Magnolia Frame Kit! It is available at PapercraftingWithGayle.ctmh.com for a limited time.

It is built upon an incredibly sturdy, double-thick, square, chipboard base--measuring 16 inches! Two hanging notches are located on back for ease of hanging. Of course, you could easily hang with a command strip, prop against the wall on the mantel, or display with an easel, as I have.

I recommend using two types of adhesive to create this. I used Liquid Glass and a brayer to attach my thick backboard and open frame chipboard together. Prior to adhering frame, I tacked my shiplap-patterned paper to backboard using tape runner adhesive. Then, using Tombow tape runner or the Broad Tip Bonding Memories Glue, adhere the paper frame overlay to the chipboard frame, and your word overlay. 😊

Liquid Glass not only makes the flowers secure -- you can also brush Liquid Glass over your leaves for a true magnolia leaf shine. 😊 Beautiful!

Color Challenge 2019!

Welcome! Wow! Another turn of the calendar and we're already in 2019! This year I'm jumping into a few Color Challenges using the Stamp of the Month. I'd love to see what you create using these colors and stamp set! 😊

For this month's Color Challenge we have Smoothie, Canary, Bluebird, Pewter and White Daisy making up our color palette, along with the "Card Captions" Stamp of the Month.

Bluebird ink takes the spotlight for our stamped sentiment, and the Bluebird paper from the I Heart Us collection. This entire collection is delightful! I thought it would be a fun touch to add its Bluebird paper with its little dotted line and scallop. What do you think?

I absolutely love this month's exclusive stamp set! If you send hand-crafted cards or want to get started, this will absolutely become a "go-to" stamp! Just look at all of the awesome sentiments and adorable little icons. 😊 Although its title is Card Captions, I believe it will also show up on a scrapbook page or two!

My Artbooking Cricut Collection came to the rescue for cutting my two flowers and sunshine for my sending you sunshine and rainbows card. I gave these a hint of sparkle with a Clear Shimmer Brush.

My background flowers are stamped with Pewter ink and the oh, so cheerful sentiment, with the beautiful Bluebird ink. I again pulled my Bluebird paper from the beautiful patterns included in the I Heart Us collection with the fun little dotted line.
