Let's Make an "Impossible Card!"

Welcome!  I'm so glad you are here!

I created this Celebrate/Explore Impossible Card in honor of my sweet grand-daughter's celebration of her new field of vision with new glasses. 💝😎
My sentiments and glasses are cut quickly using the Artbooking and You Are Here Cricut collections, available at PapercraftingWithGayle.ctmh.com. 💖

Looking at my Template, you can see I've created it for an A2 size card (4.25 x 5.5).  Pieces 2-5 are for your overlay papers.  You may wish to draw a light pencil line across the horizontal center of your base.  This provides you with a stopping point when you make your cuts.   It can easily be altered to create whatever size you'd like, as the process is the same.

When you take a quick look at this template, you might think, hmmm ... the openings of the finished card aren't the same as the cut lines of the paper shown.  So, as you can see, from my first photo, it really is not impossible.  Well, here's how!

It just takes a flip of one side to make it stand.😉  Easy peasy!  After one side is flipped, square it up and use your bone folder to sharpen your newly directed folds.  The canary 'bridge' represents template piece 5.  It's purpose it to stabilize our card, and can be made in various sizes or shapes.

I used White Daisy cardstock for my base (template 1).  Canary and Smoothie cardstock papers, as well as Bluebird papers from the super fun Something Fierce collection are also incorporated.  A touch of bling is provided by using a couple of Sparkles.  💖
