Create!

Let's Make A Two-page Scrapbook Layout!

Welcome!  I'm so glad you are here!

Today's layout is all about showcasing our creative side of life.  I decided to make this layout to showcase some of the wonderful ladies who join me on a regular basis for Papercrafting With Gayle Workshops and Clubs.  How many times have you, your family members, and/or your friends enjoyed being "creative?"

This layout can be used for so many of life's events!  Have someone snap a picture or two of you papercrafting, gardening, sewing, woodworking, making a puzzle, or whatever you enjoy!  Make a page about it with photos and a bit of journaling -- if you don't, who will be telling your story as the pages on the calendar turn?  😊

I had fun incorporating stamps from the We Are Makers stamp set, and just love Albert Einstein's quote "Creativity is intelligence having fun!"  What a great addition it makes to our layout!  I stamped it on White Daisy Cardstock using Black Archival Ink.  Then I colored it in with my Colored Pencils.  It is then layered on Pewter cardstock followed by Bashful cardstock, and then adhered directly to the Basic Fundamentals paper.

I  used papers from the beautiful new Basic Paper Fundamentals collection, Pewter and Bashful cardstock for my design.  These colors are very subtle and will allow your photos and story to shine.

"Create" is another stamp included in the "We Are Makers" stamp set.

A beautiful gold foil chipboard heart accents our title.  The gold foil hearts shown on this layout are from the "Better Together" Complements.  After adding my photos and journaling, I'll probably add a few more embellishments from this collection.

I really like this scissors, but sadly, although I used my Clear Shimmer Brush on it, my photo doesn't do the glistening effect justice.  You can just barely see it.  Oh my!

It is made with  Bashful and Pewter cardstock and the new "You Are Here" Cricut cartridge.

Just look at all the goodness that comes with You Are Here!  Woo Hoo!  1 – cartridge (700 images: shapes, titles, phrases, and font);
3 – My Acrylix® D-size stamp sets; and 1 – Enchantment cardstock combo pack (two-toned).  I'll certainly be sharing more designs I've made with this collection in future posts.
Make sure you add your journaling to your layout!  You know the drill!  Who, when and where at the minimum.  It is also good to add, at least periodically a bit more answering why and/or how!  You will appreciate this in years to come!  No room on the layout, add Flip Flaps!  😊

All materials used are available from me at papercraftingwithgayle.ctmh.com.

Thank you so much for visiting!  You are appreciated!
Until next time --

  2. What you said about keeping a journal "who will be telling your story as the pages on the calendar turn" really hit home Gayle. We recently lost someone very dear to us and I wish she'd kept a journal so I could page through her memories.
