Falling For You "Blessed" Scrapbook Layout

Welcome!  Although the temperatures this past week have been above average in my neck of the woods, the autumnal equinox has occurred!  Our local temperatures will change soon enough, probably within the week!  With this beautiful season comes many outdoor and in-door activities, savory aromas, warm thoughts and emotions, and more.  Enjoy!

My "Blessed" layout shown here is made with Papers and Complements included in the new Falling For You Creative Collection.  One of my favorites in this Holiday/ Seasonal Expressions Idea Book!

We've seen some of the beautiful papers from this Creative Collection, Falling For You, in a previous post, with the stamped card "There are so many reasons to be thankful" that I made using the September Stamp of the Month.

The Complements in this collection are a combination of cardstock weight stickers, button stickers,  and kraft chipboard pieces and words.  It's a fun grouping!  I love to use foam tape with the chipboard and some of the stickers to add a touch of dimension to our finished piece.

Included in the paper pack are two sheets of cut-apart Picture My Life Cards.  The journaling card shown here is one of these cards.   Just add the who, when and where at the minimum, and at least periodically a bit more answering why and/or how!  You, and your loved ones, will appreciate this in years to come!  With the journaling card INCLUDED in your paper pack, you know YOU can (and should) do this!  ðŸ˜Š A floral sticker is then adhered with foam tape for an extra bit of pop!  Easy peasy!

Here's a closer look at the fun Falling For You papers used.  This collection features the warm colors of Almond, Charcoal, Espresso, Fern, Goldrush, Linen, Nutmeg, Pewter, Saffron, and Toffee.  Oh so comforting!

Just take a closer look at these Complements!  I love their rich colors and ease of use!  Delightful!

I'll be sharing a couple more layouts made with this fun paper in the near future.  This collection is being used for for one of my upcoming local workshops.  No worries of where your "local" is compared to mine!

If you'd like to make this, just head on over the the Current Kits and Classes Tab above to order yours!  You'll see that I "flipped" this layout design from  what you see in the guide.  I'll contact you after your purchase to see how your papercrafting is coming along! 😊

Create!

Let's Make A Two-page Scrapbook Layout!

Welcome!  I'm so glad you are here!

Today's layout is all about showcasing our creative side of life.  I decided to make this layout to showcase some of the wonderful ladies who join me on a regular basis for Papercrafting With Gayle Workshops and Clubs.  How many times have you, your family members, and/or your friends enjoyed being "creative?"

This layout can be used for so many of life's events!  Have someone snap a picture or two of you papercrafting, gardening, sewing, woodworking, making a puzzle, or whatever you enjoy!  Make a page about it with photos and a bit of journaling -- if you don't, who will be telling your story as the pages on the calendar turn?  ðŸ˜Š

I had fun incorporating stamps from the We Are Makers stamp set, and just love Albert Einstein's quote "Creativity is intelligence having fun!"  What a great addition it makes to our layout!  I stamped it on White Daisy Cardstock using Black Archival Ink.  Then I colored it in with my Colored Pencils.  It is then layered on Pewter cardstock followed by Bashful cardstock, and then adhered directly to the Basic Fundamentals paper.

I  used papers from the beautiful new Basic Paper Fundamentals collection, Pewter and Bashful cardstock for my design.  These colors are very subtle and will allow your photos and story to shine.

"Create" is another stamp included in the "We Are Makers" stamp set.

A beautiful gold foil chipboard heart accents our title.  The gold foil hearts shown on this layout are from the "Better Together" Complements.  After adding my photos and journaling, I'll probably add a few more embellishments from this collection.

I really like this scissors, but sadly, although I used my Clear Shimmer Brush on it, my photo doesn't do the glistening effect justice.  You can just barely see it.  Oh my!

It is made with  Bashful and Pewter cardstock and the new "You Are Here" Cricut cartridge.

Just look at all the goodness that comes with You Are Here!  Woo Hoo!  1 – cartridge (700 images: shapes, titles, phrases, and font);
3 – My Acrylix® D-size stamp sets; and 1 – Enchantment cardstock combo pack (two-toned).  I'll certainly be sharing more designs I've made with this collection in future posts.
Make sure you add your journaling to your layout!  You know the drill!  Who, when and where at the minimum.  It is also good to add, at least periodically a bit more answering why and/or how!  You will appreciate this in years to come!  No room on the layout, add Flip Flaps!  ðŸ˜Š

Special "Stronger Together" Stamp Set

Welcome!  I'm writing this as Hurricane Irma continues to swirl and torment all in her path in Florida, fires rage in many of our western regions and the continued clean up is occurring in Texas and Louisiana.  Yet, here at home it's a beautiful blue sky day.  My heartfelt prayers for all!

Due to all of the natural disasters, Close to My Heart has just designed and released a special stamp set "Stronger Together."  This "Stronger Together" stamp set #C1716, is available for $13.95 at papercraftingwithgayle.ctmh.com. The proceeds from the sale of this set will be donated to the Red Cross through Close to My Heart. No commissions are received on the sale of this set. Thank you! My prayers go out to those in harm's way!

Until next time,

With love and prayers,

Gayle Piron

September is National Stamping Month!

Welcome!  I love the month of September -- not just because it's my birthday month!  It's summer for the first three weeks -- the pool is still available, although a bit cooler, garden flowers and produce remain abundant, the tops of trees are just beginning to show their golden hues, the evenings are nice for walks and outdoor campfires, with the beautiful season of autumn just around the corner.  Yay!  Another reason to love September is it is National Stamping Month!  So look for a touch a stamping in projects all month.  Let's get started!

The stamp set I used for this card is part of  the "Feel So Blessed" stamp set.  It is the September Stamp of the Month and only available through September and for a really good deal.

Using Black Archival Ink, I stamped "There are so many beautiful reasons to be thankful" and then colored it in with colored pencils.

The front leaf and flower patterned paper is from one of my all-time favorite autumn Creative Collections, "Falling for You."  Such a versatile paper suite featuring nature's colors.  To complement the patterned paper, I also used Fern, Goldrush and Tangerine cardstock.

I finished it off with just a touch of bling, using Gold Glitter Gems.

The inside of my card is very simple.  Using Pewter Ink (new!) I stamped my sentiment, "grateful."  My leaf swag is stamped with New England Ivy and colored in with Colored Pencils.  Another Gold Glitter Gem connects the swag and adds a touch of sparkle.

This card is great for a "just because" to send someone you are thinking of, a thank you, or a Thanksgiving note/placecard for family and friends.

Other materials used include a white daisy card base and envelope from the Value Pack, and adhesives, both runner and foam tape.

All materials used are available from me at papercraftingwithgayle.ctmh.com.
